I fear this is my last hunt for awhile. 6-10 inches coming, not cool! I decided to get one last hunt in. I went back to the cellar from yesterday to try my luck. I stared towards the front a went towards the back. As I got near the back I had 2 hits next to another. The first hit was a small buckle ,the second was a small piece of brass will H E on it IMG_20180206_130406184-1040x780.jpg I worked my way along the side, this is where I think was there dump. I managed a spoon bowl and a scissor piece. Then I went to the side where I think the door was. Tons of flashing, metal, iron everywhere on this side. I was checking numbers real close and near the edge, they changed briefly. I said why not and dug. After I dug out a couple of pieces of metal,I rescanned. Solid coin numbers. I dug,up comes a kg -1753. I rescanned. No way!!! Another?? Yup. This one isn't in as good a shape-1749? I could be wrong on the date.IMG_20180206_130349290-780x1040.jpg Anyway,I figured I should leave before my luck changes and a dead tree falls on me[emoji1] IMG_20180206_130306235-780x1040.jpg

hurry and go buy a lottery ticket or get to a casino, you can't lose. congrats on your great finds

Sweet hunt! That '53 KG is in great shape, the '49 is not bad either. I know what you mean with luck and the deadfall trees. It seems like every time I visit one of my old sites in the woods a huge tree has fallen across an area I had hit hard the previous visit. Congrats!!

Sweet finds. I know what you mean about dead trees. I was searching a wooded area last year when a dead tree crashed about 25 feet from where I was standing. I heard a crunching noise and didn't know where it was coming from, it had my heart racing for a moment.

That was a really good hunt. Hit and run.
Western New York State is supposed to get hit with another snow storm tonight. I'm in North Central Pennsylvania. We have our fingers crossed.

I love the kg coppers. Well done buddy!!!!!

Great job on finding those old coppers.

Awesome finds! Congrats!

Love the old relics and especially the old copper coins! :occasion14:

Each year I have to clean my sites. I’ve started bringing loppers with me for all the pesky bushes ,It makes a difference how I can swing the coil. Yeah I’ve never seen a kg come out with that detail, must have had excellent drainage in that spot.

Great Saves!!! Way to stick with a iffy signal and noodle those beauties out of the ground!:icon_thumleft:

thanks! Hopefully it’s a good sign:icon_thumleft: We got 8 inches and freezing rain so now we need so warm temps to melt it. This snow stuff is detrimental for metal detecting :BangHead:
