Had to go home (West Texas) for a wedding. I was able to get permission to get on a small ranch that I used to own 16 years ago. When we lived there I had found an old Indian camp, that was used for a long time. Now, due to excessive cultivation in the area, the water runoff has changed, and runs right through the camp area. I had never found any pottery in the area in the past until this week. Day 2 turned out to be the best. I think I hit the Paleo layer. 100_0406.JPG 100_0408.JPG 100_0409.JPG 100_0417.JPG 100_0425.JPG The small bird point was found a little higher up with the blank. I'm not sure if I have a Plainview, Clovis, or Folsum. Please help. Thanks Danny 100_0416.JPG 100_0415.JPG 100_0427.JPG 100_0433.JPG 100_0441.JPG

Great finds! I think you have a Meserve (Dalton) point. Very early Archaic. I could be wrong. Either way it's a great point. Congrats.

Wow, you Texas people find beautiful artifacts! (Another website is full of TX people's findings on a daily basis). Is this finding anywhere near the area around the Gault site? Thanks for showing.
