Congrats on the matchbox and that awesome Dodge emblem. I wonder if there is any way of finding out what make and model it was from.

Not a dealers badge. I worked in a junkyard where the owner had alot of old vehiciles stashed, and one of them had a Dodge Brothers emblem on the radiator/grill. It's from a Dodge-thats what the emblems used to look like on the cars.

I have even seen old Studebaker trucks that had only an indentation on the front of the hood, and a Studebaker sticker stuck down into it as the hood emblem. Studbaker Scotsman pickup if I remember correctly.

Sweet finds MT... Found the following information on the Dodge Brothers:

http://www.emblemagic.com/1930s.htm

Looks like that of a 1937 or a 1938... There is a pic of a restored one on the left where Mr. D. Upton took a pic of his, and there is one listed on the right about 3/4 of the way down...

I found a Dodge Brothers emblem and was told by TN folks that it came off of a 1929 Dodge. Very similar to yours.
