Was at an old school hunting around the play structures and snagged these two rings today. Ones a 925 silver gecko ring and the other I'm not sure. Maybe white gold can't make out the stamp on the inside.
So much of the time with an ATP I think one will look at the number of what an object rings at and call it trash, With a 250 your looking at the range and listen to the signal more and tend to dig a lot more. I had to learn to dig more with my ATP and dig on signal not so much on what it read. I found a nice 14k ring that rang at 59 and I was inclined to think it was a tab or something but dug anyway and got the ring. I am digging a lot more now because if you don't you won't find the rings.
I have both a 250 and ATP and I like them both. I have about 200 hrs on the ATP and still learning and about 350 hrs or so on the 250 and pretty much have it figured out.
Thanks Normsel. Well I dig just about everything over 33 iron on my AT pro. I always dig the foil and tab signals. My ace just seems to find more goodies. I take it everywhere, always in my truck just incase.
Tucson Dan: thanks, have you got the 5 by 9 coil for your ace 350? If you don't I'd suggest getting it and hit the play structures at the schools, playgrounds and parks. I've found 9 rings this yr just at elementary schools and play grounds. The structure play sights with the pebble rock is great with the ace and the 5 by 9 coil. You can recover way more items just hitting play structures for the day. The school I went to last night, I must have recovered over 200 targets in 4 hrs, so easy to just move the small pebble and retrieve your find and move on the the next. My finds have increased so much doing this. Give it a try, you will see your ring collection grow faster. And dig the foil, nickel and tab signals. You will dig a lot of aluminum and foil but When you do this a couple or few times a wk all those targets you recover, you will get those rings too that read junk, that all those kiddies drop. Cheers! Good luck.
