2010 starts with a BANG! (I,R,D buttons)

My hunting partner and I hit the road yesterday for a 5 hour drive up to dig with another friend in West Virginia at a known Civil War camp under construction. I am so glad we came :thumbsup: HH Jeff

My finds--
Eagle "R" Coat button
Eagle "I" cuff button
Eagle "D" cuff button
1827 Large Cent
1860 Indian Head cent
Brass Belt end hook for Union Sabre belt
Etc..

A "R" "I" and a "D" on the same day. Sweet. Wish I only had to drive 5 hours. Out here in Arizona, they are a little harder to come by. I get a few but they are far far in between. WTO guys.

Thank you! Definately the first time I've gotten 3 different type eagles in one hunt.. only 2nd time ive hunted a CW camp though

Thanks Bob.. the "host" had just found a halfdime out there yesterday (and a 3 center) and I couldnt find one today :'(

I tried a spot yesterday and the ground was frozen. I didn't stay long. I went back and dug that pit out today. I didn't finish and am going to have to do it tomorrow. I might be sorry though. They said with the wind chill it will be 5 to 10 degrees. I'll post what all I got tomorrow. So far nothing great but a couple interesting things.
It's about time to start pulling out the digging hatchets ;D

We're still here in WV and it is soooo cold.. no way im diggin today :laughing9:

I like the Riflemen Button alot. Those and the Dragoons button are tougher to find as the pre-date the Civil War:icon_thumleft: Great finds and Again congrats bud :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft: :wink:
