The pre-1940s wheats are hard to find, seems like. I did manage a 1919 in very rough shape yesterday, though.

Your finds may not be much but you now have 6 more wheaties than you did before you started.

Do you keep the copper as well?

I do! I hand-sort each piece and then I weigh each 1982 to find the copper there, too. At work I would just drop on my desk to determine the copper but my wife frowns on me dropping them on the dinner table. :dontknow:

I wish my hearing were that good. :( I'm keeping all my '82's seperate until I have enough to mess with. Then I'll weigh them or something. I've been averaging about 3.5 to 4 pounds per box and about 10 wheats. I hand sort mine too.

Naw, I don't keep them right now. Waiting for a legal settlement to come thru and then I'll keep em.

Copper Canadian pennies are worth more than American pennies. The copper is more pure and you can legally melt them now. I keep them.

Decent pulls. Cents kinda puttered out here lately, but I think I'll get back in the game next week. The Nickels are producing all kinds of things for me right now, and there's no competition.
