25 January 2013 ... Hammered and Sheep figurine

[HISPAN]

This week I have one quarter hammered of King Alfons IV Barcelona mint There are very few of these and are eagerly sought ., and some coins of 14th to 19th centuries ... also a little terra-cotta figurine sheep very interesting ... maybe it's a lost toy by some shepherd boy, but I can not specify exactly the century appears before 18th century.

Shepherd's work was exclusively done by childrens up 19th Century ,this area was the most important in Spain in the manufacture of sheep and wool fabrics were exported all over the Empire .... maybe one shepherd to gaming this terracotta statuette depicting animals which spend all day .... was the first feeling I grab the figurine but who knows ...

Thanks to hall !

Also visit the local beach and recover $ 28 USD in European currencies, silver earring and a few other things .. has been a good day considering that each week taking coins and jewelry from the beach ... and unvisited by cold now, all this was lost in previous summers.

yes my friend! was a good day ... and sheep figurine was the icing on the cake ... although not a great piece .. but it was fun and made me think of the good things in society today .... now Ocidental children not to play with clay dolls or work ....
