First I’d like to apologize for not replying to/on all the great finds that everyone has been posting. That’s because I’m still working on an extended schedule, but I still lurk every now and then. I still only have time to hunt on Sundays, but that’s only for a while longer.

I thought I had found two silver dimes, but when I look for them one was missing. I said to myself, “oh well I still have one”. But after a closer look at the other coinage, I noticed this clad dime. It’s stained as if it was silver and it missing part of the copper in the edge. I think I was fooled by this one. The following lists of mentionable finds are from three hunts at two different locations, one park and one demolition. Here’s my list.

  • One 10k gold ring with stone, very old, at least 60-70 years judging by the indicators from the area.
  • One gold bracelet marked .417
  • One gold earring marked 14k Bolivia
  • One 1950 Roosevelt dime
  • Nine wheat pennies
  • One dog license
  • A gob of marbles
  • Clad
  • A cool play coin
  • Two coins from the Philippine

Great finds. I still haven't found a dog tag yet. Baldinboy finds one almost every hunt but he is a dog so that's probably why!!!

I was just replying to your response on my thread saying "let's see some gold", and then I see your post!
Hope you can start to get out a little more soon!

Hmmm, where did you drop that other silver dime? :icon_pirat: ;D

Hey Dan. That spot is still producing. Jim is still finding good silver, he even found a Standing Liberty Quarter, I think it was a 1923. Seasoned hunters are still coming out with several silver and several to the teens in wheats, as did Jim and Robert on Sunday. And I’m still finding gold rings as other should be. I found two on Sunday, both 14k, one white and one yellow of which I haven’t posted as of yet. Now to be truthful, the hunting is much tougher, but the persistent one will prevail.

You and Mike might want to make another trip before it's too late.
