Nice finds.

The ring may not be a fake.  It is what some call a spinner ring, the part of the ring that spins around looks like it has enamel on it.  Almost all are made out of silver (925).  I'm sure there are a few out there made of junk metal.  Sometimes an item is not marked silver but it is.

cool hunt! Yeah I got a spoon from a beach in WA last month. I wonder why people want to leave there spoons everywhere for us to find? They should be leaving older coins or gold rings instead!!

Good job on hunting!

Yeah jpotter it does spin around the only mark inside was a 9 or a 6 which I assume is just the ring size

I honestly believe it is a silver ring.

My wife has one similar too with the enamel on the part that spins. I found 2 this summer, all different. They are just neat.

On the inside it's possible that the other two numbers were stamped lightly or not at all.

I don't think it is cost affective to see if it is silver, just keep it as silver and if one day you cash in all of your goodies they will test it.

Nice ring.

That ring looks very much like one I fund at a beach in So Cal a few weeks ago (including the spinning and the design). Mine was stamped stainless steel and did not ring like silver when I found it. Hopefully yours is silver, but it is still a very nice ring.

I see you are using a dfx....did it come in low like a nickel...16-20's... Or if it is silver lowest I ever got was a reading of 72 on one chewed up by a lawn mower.... If silver I would expect more of a dime reading from 78-81.... My cheapie mood rings all come in from 50's to 68.... Check out the reading should give you a half decent idea... Also if silver usually stamped 925... but you never know....
