So, I am finally home from Nantucket and I went to the Tavern right when I got home. The owner said he had to leave, but gave me a tip to where an old water mill foundation was down the street. I went and it payed off nicely. I got a 1950 silver quarter and a 1958 Fank. half dollar in one hole! Right next to that hole I dug a signal which ended up being a mason jar lid, but unveiled what I think is a bottle dump. Found a few in tact and really need some help with the black long thing that I found.

I seem to recall something like that topping off a bottle of Mercurochrome back when I was a kid. It was made of flexible rubber and was used to dab the antiseptic on the wound.
