Sunday's swimming hole finds. 4 silver coins!

I was hunting in the river and had luck finding lots of metal stuff but no coins. I decided to hit the hunted out swimming hole to try and find a coin or two. I had my XLT in relic mode and coins started showing up along with nails, fishing lead and lures. The total coin finds were 77 cents spendable coins, no date buffalo nickel, no date SLQ, 1937 merc dime and two Roosevelt dimes 1948 and 1964. This is my best silver day yet for this year. I am up to 25 silver coins this year. I know this isn't as impressive as some of the hunters here but I am happy. I will keep swinging and hope for the best. Thanks for looking! DD.

Congrats... That is a good day. 4 silvers in one day is great in my book. That SLQ looks good! :icon_thumright:

IMO, darn good day!

As time goes by, you will look back and see just how good today's find were.

I don't think you can compare a day's finds from 40-50 years ago with what is found today. Much of the silver has already been recovered and processed.

Can you post just the SLQ front and back? I think it may be possible to see what the date is.

Love those silver coins that come out of the water. Fresh water water silver has that unique black tarnish that's caused from years under the water. :icon_thumright:
