Hi TNetters
From this field I have hundreds of musket balls and other lead ammo.
This lot represents a search of aprox. 3 hours.
There was a shooting ground on the place from about 1790 - short after 1900.
The place was situated near an amusement pavilion that stood about 1 km. out of town.
The bullets on the picture are on the left musket balls in different cal., two Minié backloader bullets, and on the right large amounts of torn lead from bullets, among them muskets, Miniés and some bullets for the Remington Rolling Block rifle.
When other fields get too "emty", I always go there. Signals all the time !!
