Found them the hard way, one @ a time!
Went hunting with a friend (club member)...Geno, the finds were scarce but they were there. zzzzzzzzz! Found the first big hit 20 min. into the hunt, a rosie on a gopher mound, then nadda for the next 3 hrs, but for a wheat. Then we treked to a different spot and walked out on the field, and told Geno that I'd found a dime here last time. 3 swings later a rosie! Geno cried
My next good find was a '36 buffalo. Then another 2 hours go by and nothing only clad and 1 more wheat. Then worked to the end of the field and turned and found a '35s Merc., 10 minutes later hit my 3rd Rosie!! I went over to see what Geno had and he'd only had a couple of wheats. He asked if a 43 nickle was any good and I told him yes, it's silver. We were going to leave in 30 minutes, I was ready to shut off and Geno started to wooping it up, I went over to him and he had a ring in his hand. We looked in side and saw 14k, made his day. No gold for me. The rosies are: 52s, 55s, 60d & 3 wheats with a 20s It was a good day!
