Nice Colonial Button & Brass Dime Bank

Hello All !
Got a couple neat items,
my third brass coin bank, this one is pocket size, and had been pried open to get at those 34 Barbers/Seateds that were inside, it has a counting mechanism.
'Piscataqua Savings Bank' / 'Save Your Dimes, The Sure Road to Your First $1000' The bank is still operating in Portsmouth, NH.
Three buttons, a pewter, a flat, & a 'Pointed Rays' Dandy (well, that's what I'm calling it) wish it had an eye in the center :laughing7:
first D shank I've come across.
I also wish the Coins held up as well as the Buttons :icon_scratch:
Pieces from 2 different Pewter spoons, & 2 plated spoons.

Thanks For Looking & HH

Re: Nice Colonial Button & Brass Dime Bank

Hi Herbie :hello:
Love the Dandy Button and the 'Piscataqua Savings Bank'! :notworthy:

This pewter spoon looks pretty much complete . . . or is there a middle piece missing?
If it is complete . . . might it be worth restoring? :icon_scratch:
Very cool finds buddy, you never cease to amaze! :o

Thanks to all for your replies ;D
The two spoon pieces have different diameters at break point, maybe I missed that third piece :icon_scratch:
I don't remember finding the two pieces in the same area, these fragments are pretty common finds here, I will go through the fragments I have & look for matches.
Good day & great digs to all

The fact that the bank is still in business is as amazing as your finds, with every other bank being swallowed up these days. Beautiful finds by the way.

Very cool for sure. I actually had a savings account at that bank when I was a kid growing up in Portsmouth and had a bank they gave out as a premium. Mine was a cast replica of a Model T Ford and quite a bit bigger.
