The day started out pretty bad, with two new places being a bust we headed back to a spot that we had hit once before. This place has had 4 houses in 4 different locations over the years. We decided on one and hunted about an hour. My partner "MalibuKid" yells out "come see what you think this is" he hunts a AT Pro and I a Omega 8000. I swing over it and get a super clean 96-97, then out pops the 1873 5 Francs. We high five each other, then I get on a killer sounding 93-94. We both get giddy as kids on Xmas morning and out of the hole comes a BIG Silver Ring. I pushed the dirt out and peek inside and can't believe that I just found a coin ring. Then we really hammer that small area and he digs the 1896 10 centimes and I the 1897 IH Penny. These were super finds for us. What a great day!!

Great day of digging. Don't get down that you haven't had many responses to your post. For some reason people in the US don't get very excited about foreign coins. Maybe because they feel like they don't have any value here.

I really like the coin ring. Can you tell what kind of coin it was made out of? Forgeign.........bleh :tongue3:
