Picked up a few boxes of coin yesterday and had some pretty good results. Here is the break down

2 boxes of dimes , brinks, $250 ea
1949 S ---silver
1952 D ---- silver
1964 ---- silver
2009 D - first one in about 6 boxes

2 boxes of Nickels ,brinks, $100 ea
1926 buffalo
1938 x 4
1939 x 1
1950 D x 3
1955 D x 4
1943 S x 2 ----- silver
1945 P x4 ----- Silver

and a hand full of pre 60's for the pile

3 boxes of pennies , brinks , $25 ea

produced a lot of wheats. 48 to be exact. oldest were 1918 and 1919
also produced $32 worth of copper from total of 3 BOXES.

I just picked up another round of the same boxes except only 2 boxes of pennies. Will post results when done with those. May take a couple days. That was a lot of coin I went through last night. HH Forgot to take pics before I put them away!:BangHead:

Not trying to be disrespectful but what is special about the 1955-d? Mintage of 74.5 million.

in my area the 55D/p and the 50d/p are very hard to find. I have come across only a 2 each of the P for both 55/50 AND only a few of the D's. I know the mintages are high but they seem to be more scarce

I have been doing pretty well with dimes. Although this last batch the one box was a skunk. All 3 of those were out of the other box. I usually get 2-4 per box. nickels i have been averaging 2 per box too on silver

Congrats for 3 1950D nickels. They are really hard to come by. In Canada this is just a miracle to find something like that. It should really luckly slip through the border to get in my hands.

Just finished the dimes and found only
1 silver. A 1964. Did one box of nickels and found your missing war. 1944 d. Lol. Still have another box of nickels and 2 pennies.

Wow, its hard to believe that you have only found 1 2009 D dime. I find them all of the time here, so much so that I started throwing them back after I got a couple of rolls of the 09s. 2009 nickels on the other hand are very hard to come by - I have only found about 10 of those. Interesting how some coins are scattered.

I would trade your 1950 d results for my 2009 dime results any day!

I have found only a hand full of both 2009 Dimes and nickels. Usually 1 every 6-10 boxes. Very hard to find in my area

Same for me, I accumulated about 30 of them, now I would only keep them if I find them in change.
