64 Kennedy oddity

To me this half looks like there wasn't enough material to fill out the die. It's missing the L and I and the ridge is gone. The material does not seem displaced or rolled over the edge like I would expect if it had been hammered,hit or squished.

Would this possibly be considered a mis-strike or error?
Is it a keeper or a KEEPER!

I have never seen one before. I would consider it a keeper. I don't think it is a greased die because the rim is thin. I don't know how that happened.

For a second I hoped it would have me sitting in the crowd biting my lip at a christys auction.
But ahh yes....If nothing else it is silver at least.
