Hi all. Hope your Wednesday was as great as mine was. My friend Cjon455 and I were invited down to Philly to hunt with another TNet member most of you know as Vino. As evidenced by the incredible finds he makes, Philly has some pretty unique opportunities if you can get permission. I do believe the 3 of us combined did very well, with all 3 getting different finds. I will let the 2 of them post and tell their tale. Enjoy the pics. I will post cleaned ones later....was a long day in the heat, lol. Please feel free to give your opinions on the 64th.

Nice digs!

Must be cool to have areas that old to hunt in. I would start at the first house on the end of the block and work down.

Based on looks it appears to be fake, but more than that it's an officer's pattern and is made totally wrong.... should have a bone back.

Thanks IP. I was hoping you'd reply. To me, the shank doesn't look right but I know absolutely nothing about them. The 2 smaller buttons are undoubtedly reproductions and were found at the same site. Many real and repro's are here. It is a very historic site. Thanks all for your comments. Was a great day with 2 great members. Getting to meet George ( Vino ) and spending the day at 2 super old sites ( one has had George Washington himself as a guest a few times ) made my day! Thank you George for the invitation.

Sure sounds like a site to keep you on edge.... not even knowing whether your find will be real or fake! But what the heck, you still got a good rush from it I'm sure.

Yeah buttons are cool, you got a neat one, not what you wanted to find out about it but neat just the same
But the counter stamped shilling is the winner for me, it appears to be a counter stamp on George's neck, clean it out and research it, great fun!
Well done sir!

Yes, Yes! I have to give credit where credit is due ( read the next part in an in audible mumble just as I would say it ) - " YOU WERE RIGHT, CHRIS! " ( He was the only one of the 3 of us to notice the counterstamp lol ).

Good job old dude, very nice finds. I just got back to the rental, drum fishing, nothing but pin, blue, sting-ray, sand perch, spot, and flounder, no drum. Too bad I didn't get to meet you. Congrats!
