69yr. old newbie from Virginia Beach

Hi, My name is Doug except when I'me diggin, then it is Dug! I know Corny, sorry. Been TH-ing for about 8 months now and I am totally addicted. I am also new to V.B. I get out whenever health permits. I started in my own yard for practice and learning my detector and digging plugs, etc. My yard has yielded 2 silver rings, over $10 in clad, several wheats and copper memorials, 3 colonial buttons 1 flat and 2 2 piece, a nice condition Merc 1944, and lotsa junk. Have also done some beach hunting. Hopefully I will make some new friends here. Thanks much.
Oh I almost forgot to mention my lovely wife and I have 15 children. 10 boys, 5 girls, and 5 grandchildren.
