has anyone tried the new DD coil on their 1500 ? I have the standard 9.5 and a12.5, Will The DD get me deeper and work better, or do I pull the trigger on the E-trac, I love my 1500 but 5-6 inches is all I ever can get out of it. would love to be getting hits at 8-9-10 inches, and believe me I have the places to hunt where I have found 1800s coins, but I think if I could gain 2-3 more inches Watch Out!!!

not sure about he 8.5x11 but i'll have my 10x14 DD tomorrow and i hope it proforms better than my stock 9.5 inch stock coil. to bad the ground is hard around here and i won't be out for a couple months to test it out. i'm very happy with my 1500 and will miss the size imaging feature with the 10x14 coil tho

Glad to see your post . I thought I was the only one thinking about the DD coil on the GTI series . In fact I have just bought a DD coil and put it on my 2500. I've seen air test on the AT Pro, 12 inches on a quarter. My 2500 is now hitting 11 inches plus on a quarter. Other comparison air tests are about the same to the AT pro. Of course you loose the imagining but you keep all the other pluses that the 1500 and 2500 offer. The other thing is the 2500 is much lighter. Very good separation on coin and iron nail.
