Went to a park on Thursday night. Found 3 silver dimes – 1941, 1952D and 1953D, an 1895 IH, 6 wheats and a circa 1930 “Pie Eaters Tim” pin that I identified on the internet was used to promote a boy’s clothing company in the 1930s

This morning I decided to try a new park I had never been to. It started out pretty slow only finding one wheatie in the first hour. Then I think I found an old/unfilled area of the park and started finding some goodies. First was an 1892 very worn Barber dime that looks like it stayed in circulation for 50 years before being lost. Then I found a silver dime at the other end of the condition spectrum – a very crisp 1942 Merc in literally AU condition. Got a few more wheats and then a first for me – a 1904 Canadian big penny – never found a Canadian large cent before.

Wow! I sooo want that pin!

Great hunt Man!

Wow, great finds PS! I have never heard of a Canuck largie being found around these parts. Did you think it was a U.S. large cent at first? :)

I love all of those silvers! Even that anorexic Barber dime. VERY close to a seated!

Joe, I actually thought it was a token. It rang up like 12-35 on the etrac and it was down about 7 to 8 inches so I was hoping for an Indian. I think a U.S. large cent rings up like a quarter on the etrac based on a You Tube video I saw earlier this year.

Coins are " common " US that is..
Cool large penny
I remember many years ago I found 3 in one hole...1937-1942
But the pin now to me that is the coolest.. uncommon.....

That etrac and your checking new spots are really working.

Great hunting , wow! :headbang:
You should really have somebody video a day like that for you. Hmmmm... actually I'm available, and I would only hunt a little bit in between takes. ;D

WTG!

Awesome finds!
That's a couple of great hunts you had. That pin takes the cake, oops, I mean pie.
