Might be our last chance on this field as the Beans were beginning to show. However we did find an area higher up which was unplanted, so I will get Dad to do a watching brief for later.

Dad was away, so Shaun7 was my taxi for the day :)

Covered loads of land & worked hard for our finds.

Wow, you always seem to produce an amazing quality and quantity of finds. It must be great hunting somewhere with so much history. Also, your knowledge on old pieces is impressive. Congratulations on another amazing hunt.

Big :) collection, doesn't include most of the ones pictured. I only keep the pretty ones, picturing them this year just for fun to see how many we get. We are close to 1000 already.

As I replied to another post. Over detecting is an issue for me, as I have over done it in the past and have a back /shoulder/arm weakness. This last week has nearly finished me off, but the detecting season for my area is nearly at an end, so I made the most of it whilst I can.

Aug/Sep - your all in for a treat, things are going to improve 10 fold :thumbsup:

Aug/Sep is harvest time. Most fields are now under crop & can't be dug.

The Saxon Wrist Clasp is a find recorded in Saxon Womens burials. This is 1 half of a pair that were sewn onto the clothing at the wrist to keep the cloth together (closed/tight). Probably looked pretty as well.

If he had a second job, he would not have the time to detect. Therefore all of his finds that he never keeps would become less finds that he never keeps. If your implying he could make more money for me, then I couldn't be less interested.
