I checked at those links and the oldest casing is a UMC 1867 to 1911

Way to go. I noticed the picture shows your plug from a leaf covered area, maybe a forest. Do you use that plugger in grass? If so how does it do? Any problems? Dead spots?

Ed, I use it in grass as long as it is not too dry. It might cause just a little bit of brown grass at the edge of the plug but not really noticible. I put the plug back in the hole and then push it down with my foot.
