I went to a house tear down saw a 200-300 yr old tree hum i thought ought to be something there,i go around the tree once three clad dimes..i go around again about 5 ft wider bam got a strong signal so i swing my diggin tool and pull back the dirt....thought i was seeing things ,rubbed my eyes wow could"nt believe it (a 1922

THats one sweet find. No silver dollars here at all yet, however if I ever get one I don't think it would be detecting. I would believe that the chances of finding such a wonderful find are very slim.

I've known some of the best THers ever and more have found gold pieces than have found a silver dollar.

Yes, this is one of the most difficult to find coins in the U.S.

It's probably easier to find a Spanish 8 Reale here in America than a U.S. silver dollar.
