Hello Folks,

This mornin I went to old Argenta. It's tha oldest
settlement in central Arkie Land.

I hunted this old High School that was built in 1912.
It was originally called Argenta High School. Later it
was to became known as Old Main.

It was hunted out in tha 1980's and 1990's.

It's abandoned now. It's haunted be tha homeless
and druggies.

You can see where tha old school bell used to be.

I was hoping to find some silver coins. But that
was not to be.

But I did find this old music box motor.

I also found this old Case bone handle pocket knife,
or what's left of it.

I just can't seem ta keep away from jewelry. Here's
a pendand I found.

A gold plated ring.

Great work on the "hunted out place" for sure!

We have an old school in Dallas like that, but I'm not gonna try it by myself!

Grip!

The only true thing I learned is that no place is truly hunted out. Go back after a nice rain and you'll score what you're looking for...Trust me. Congrats on your finds and HH

When I first started detecting I hunted my old high school. It's been converted into a middle school now and I actually graduated from the "new" high school in 1962. Most of my finds was beneath the windows. The school had no air conditioning until the early 1970s and someone was always dropping something out of the windows either by accident or on purpose. I remember one day a desk came flying out of a third story window! No one ever confessed to doing it. No, it wasn't me! It's the same place my Mother went to HS and graduated in 1942. I found a lot of change, a very small amount of silver coin and a couple of silver rings. It was obvious someone had detected it before, but like tabdog I had a good day. Monty

Please don't yell !
When your hunting a location that your pretty sure is "Hunted out" try first looking to see where you think is the most likely places to find old coins etc.... Then hunt everywhere else.

Congrats on the great finds

I haven't even been able to hunt-out my own yard yet. :icon_scratch:
Seems like every year more stuff just appears and I hunt in all metal and dig every target.
Each year I get less stuff but I am surprised at what I'm still finding.
And I haven't even tried the two-box deep seeker in my yard yet, of course I know it will find the water and sewer lines. But who knows maybe some pirate may have come all the way to Indiana and buried atreasure chest full of gold in what is now my yard. Or maybe a bank robber or a millionaire that didn't trust banks or.......... ::) ;D :tongue3:
A guy can dream can't he?
