Hi all,

I have not been online much but did manage to get out. I hit the beach during the Christmas break. It was sunny and cool out but very nice. I spent about 3 hours hunting the low tide with my new WOT and digging shovel. The coins were deep and green. I was hoping for some gold mixed in with the clad. Found $1.40 in clad and thats it ;D

Ed-

PS I have a new Sunray X1 probe w/shaft coming for my Explorer ll ;D

As they say, "Any day detecting..."

I have the same setup...gets pretty heavy after a while...thinking about getting the CTS bungee cord harness for it.

Your outfit looks pretty light to me. Try swingin my Mine Lab Sovereign for a day at the beach. When I can I use my
ACE 250 much lighter and does a pretty good job.

Hey a day at the Beach is better than a Day in the SNOW!! Nice finds, and you will like the SunRay Probe, I have it on 3 different brand name detectors. I can't hunt without one. I highly recommend the SunRay Probe, and if you get a chance try the New SunRay Headset. It will knock your socks off. It is also GREAT!!

Yeah, I use the Sunray Pro Gold headphones and they are superb. I also have a pair of Balck Widows I use in high noise environments.

Any day you can hunt a beach is better than any day in the snow! You beach guys just have to keep rubbing it in. LOL I'll never understand why I left good old Pismo Beach CA. for old Oklahoma, Oh, yes I do, I just don't want to face reality any more. Best of 08 to you. HH

Thats an awesome picture. I need to do one like that. Us folks in the North are hunting the beaches but sometimes it gets pretty chilly out there in the winter. I'm quite impressed at all the WOT and Minelab users out there ;D Thank you to everyone for all your replies.
