I went out on Monday for a short hunt. The heat and gnats made the hunt unbearable so I quit after a few hours. I dug one musket ball, a plain flat button, and a Rifleman Regiment button. I was really excited about the military button as this one is the first one of this type for me. It was found in a pasture and was only about four inches deep. I believe the the button was on edge as the signal was weak. The button dates back to the early 1800's. It is not in the best of shape but you can easily tell what is is.

I was so excited about the find I did a dance after finding the button and my friend filmed it. No I will not post it.

My finds were made on private property with permission from the land owner.

Nice!! I'm still looking for a one-piece Rifleman's button.
