Anyone ever try to sell gold? I had found two gold wedding bands, one 14k white and 14k yellow. I took them to a jewely store and they wanted to give me $67 for the pair. Ummmmm no. They went back in my pocket. I know they aren't extremely valuable but $67 for two gold rings?

That's really low. White 14k is about 36 a gram and yellow is 26.24. The calculator said the silver makes the white worth more. So before anyone bites my head off that's what a scrap metal site said not me.

I thought it was kind of low as well, thus the reason I simply placed them in my pocket and walked out. I'll bet if I offered them $67 dollars for a 14K wedding bank in their display they would ask me if I was smoking crack. I realize they are not new but $67 for two gold rings........Nah. I'll just recycle them by giving them to my kids to wear and lose for the next detectorist to find for that little bit of change. Thanks for the reply Nickle.
