Found this near a golf coarse, was only covered by mulch and lawn clippings. I think it was someones good luck charm?

I have never seen one before and I assume it's part of a collection?

Bullion coins/tokens are basically collector/investment pieces. So I always wonder what they were doing outside.:dontknow:

Yep, generic bullion silver round. Good thing for you is that it's about $20 right now! Maybe someone was using it as a ball marker and dropped it? Don't know why else it was on a gold course.

I agree with Crusader and Jason as to why that would be where it was. Maybe there was a wager over the golf game and that was the prize? :dontknow:
Very nice find though no matter why it ended up there.
Congrats,

People, rich enough to be playing golf in Florida? This was a cheap, (to them), but statement maker. Especially used as a ball marker. (Unless there's a limit on how big they can be. I don't hunt those golfs! ;) Don't know much of the rules. )

All that said, what a really nice find!! WTG!

That's like using a frisbee for a ball marker. Lol

Haha, maybe the loser was mad about the loss and hurled it into the woods instead of giving it away. I've known a few people like that.

Rotunda? That course has kicked my a$$ twice, lost balls in the canals, got hissed at by a momma gator, and lost my ball marker!

It was being used as a ball marker. I used to use a Morgan dollar(1881). It was easy to see. Now I use a University of Texas commerative coin from back in the day. Have used other coins too...

What a great find!!! I'm sure it blew your headphones off.

I bought 3 similar to that for two of my fellow hunting buddies for Christmas. I kept one for myself.

Congrats!!!

Yes i did find right off to the side of one of the Rotonda courses double dipping looking for balls and whatever else. At first I thought it was an aluminum junk token because it was getting dark. My guess it was dropped while someone was hunting for their ball, I find a lot of balls in this 100 yards of ditch area but first time I ever took the md.
