My hunting buddy "lonelyduckhunter" of Garret and WE&T fame have been detecting a field that has produced numerous large cents lately (20+). He was sure there had to be some silver. He connected with a nice 3 center last week. Sunday it was my turn. A nice 1843 Half Dime, my first. I like those first finds, gets the blood going. I had only 3 hours to hunt that day, my last signal was 12-40 on the
E-Trac. This had been a large cent before. But out of the hole popped this little baby on the last dig of the day. Not a bad way to end a hunt. The next best thing to finding that coin was showing the other two guys who where about 30 feet away digging a wheat penny! :laughing7:
