Canada Copper & Buckles
Hi All,
I decided to check a new site, another rocky beach in a protected cove.
sure enough, another old boatyard discovered
I think there were boatyards everywhere on this coastline at one time or another.
lots of items on or near surface (equals unsearched
)
The 1883 copper has hairs from the clump of mussels that held it
Couple of old buckles, have a match for the flat one, dug that a few miles away and a few months back
I imagine a local shoemaker had a stock of them & I happened to get a pair from two different customers.
My ugliest pewter button yet
Navy style button (I remember seeing the same one posted a few weeks back)
.61 caliber ball (been a while since I got one )
some odd tool, the brass item 'Made in Belgium' the holes go through the blade,
definite whatsit material
And Brass ship spikes, (everywhere)
