Since the weather is cooperating I figured it was time to get out to another field I got permission for just before the snow came. There was plenty of signs of a home site being there just not many good signals, so after 5 hours of digging and 3 pouches full junk here is the stuff. One of the first things I dug was part of an old suspender a short time later I got a heel plate and part of a bell. Towards the end of the hunt I got a solid nickel signal and after rinsing it off I could see that it was a toasted shield nickel only the second one I've found this year. Just about the last thing I dug was the big buckle I could see it had a lot of detail on it and after cleaning it up it looks really cool and I'm guessing 1850's possibly? Very ornate buckle. Glad you were able to get out.
