Thanks to everyone for the advice, and that nice words.
I think AGBlex and myself are kind of in the same boat here..
Being young, and trying to keep the lights on is tough! lol
Thanks for all the positive words, Argentium!
And everyone else for the suggestions on selling..
I just hate dealing with selling ANYTHING over the internet..
I'm more of an in-person, kinda guy..lol.

And as everyone else is says...I can't turn around a Cigar, and a Budweiser every now and then... lol.
But over all...I manage my money pretty well.
But, I live alone...and am in school..and between jobs.. so, times are tough!
But, hey...as long as I have my silver...I'll make it!
HH all!

Okay, what am I missing here? Why would you be sad for getting $7 for each 40% half dollar? I'd be jumping for joy.

I had to sell a 10oz bar today, got 1 dollar per oz under spot for it so 325. I always hate selling any silver but needed cash to pick up a box that was at the bank. Found 2 40%'s in it. I figured the coin shop wouldn't beat me up as much on the bar as he would have on coins that I have. I bought it a while back for 120, hopefully I can replace it before it gets too high again.

Was exchanging other wrapped money at the bank and noticed one wrapper had writing on it and saw I had mixed up one of the couple of rolls of 40%s I had brought thinking about selling them. Luckily I didn't make someone else real happy today.

Check out providentmetals.com for selling off your coin- May not work for you at the last minute, but it will give you a decent price.
Minimum to sell is 250 but they are offering $9.27 / 1 face dollar of 40% junk. Take into account a flat rate box with insurance and you stil make out okay-

I actually sold all my 40%ers to Provident on Tuesday when spot was at 32.19. I got $4.39 per coin after deducting shipping and insurance. Now I am kicking myself for not holding out an extra day or two. Oh well, I needed the $$ to pay property taxes.

I like the Dave Ramsey Idea and I hope to do just that. I am part of the government military cut backs and will need the extra safety net before too long. Don't worry about selling that silver. It will come back to you 10 fold. I sold way more than that for home improvements and such and have earned a good chunk back in no time.

But, I'm pretty attached to my coins...so I hate to let any go.. lol.
