We been wanting to get out for a long while, so finally today I took a half day off from work to give about a hour or so at a new site I been working on. We found a couple nice finds but Hillbilly found the best finds of the day, a 1833 large cent and a Eagle button with a bugle and 17 stars. when I first seen it I thought it was some variant of a War of 1812 riflemans button, but I am not for sure. any help on properly iding it would be most appreciated. Thanks, Bill

Good to hear from you Doug, only way to show BB whose boss is to hunt with him...why do you think he moved way down south?

Please tell him Hello for me!!

What's up Kuger?
Yeh it's been awhile since we've been out digging as well as posting on Tnet.
Hopefully this hunt get's us back in swing mode and we can then post the killer Ky finds.

Great to hear from you:hello:

Yeah, he did. He up and stole all my good luck. I went out today and couldn't dig anything. 5 hours for one flat button and a tiny piece of heel plate. :(

4 flat buttons and an 1904 IH for me yesterday in 2 hours:laughing7:.
Raining here today, so time for some mapworks.
I've got to get back into this hobby, crazy how one great button gets you going again.

I moved down south because it was the only way I could dig a spanish silver without hound dog HB sniffing 'em all out! Now I have dug 30 of 'em in 2 years. You betcher a$$ KY rocks. Never dug so many belt plates as I dug when I lived up there. HB was the only one who got away with a plate on my watch! :D

Why am I always buying?

I always figured it was because you wanted to get rid of some of the weight of the clad you carry before the hunt to help you go faster and make me full of Lunch to slow me down.
