A skeleton key of some type.

image.jpg image.jpg I would really like to know more about this key. It seems to be impossible(for me; the inexperienced researcher) to find out anything. My grandmother said I could have it; along with many others in the garage. Such a sweet lady.
About three inches long.
Non-hollow barrel.
Engraving "RVE o" on top of key with a loop around the "RVE" and leaving the "o" out.
Number "5" on key teeth.

It was made by a company called Russell & Erwin, later to be called Russell & Erwin Manufacturing Co.

The founders of the company were H.E. Russell & Cornelius B. Erwin. They were in business from 1851 to 1902
