I hunted an older home site today near Waynesville NC.
I'm telling you, this yard had it all!
CW lead, mercury dime, wheat penny's , 2 locks one very old. A Crotal, or Sleigh bell as they are called in the States. Pewter buttons and a VERY LARGE good luck penny a souvenir from Denver CO.
If any one knows a little history of the medal please let us know. I would guess the date to be 30's??

I too found a large penny like that. I will post a picture of it. You can compare it to a original 1 cent coin in size.

I actually found this at a Cracker barrel Restaurant and couldn't resist the urge to buy it.
I am going to have fun playing tricks on some of my metal detector friends.
