A Winter Haiku

Naked trees shiver
in frigid temperature,
await spring attire.

I can't focus. I just bought me a new Deus and the Andy Sabish book, and I can't concentrate enough to read it. Spring will be here before we know it and I'll be backpedaling, trying to learn it.

Too many hobbies. Too many interests. Too many ideas floating around in my head.

I love treasure hunting and detecting.

I also love old John Deere garden tractors (I have five of them).

I'm remodeling our mudroom and installing another bath down there.

I also want to transform my sportster into a rat bike/bobber.

Daughter wants me to build a greenhouse at her place.

Son wants me to weld him up a rack for some of his brewing apparatus.

Can't seem to focus on one thing so everything suffers. All I want to do is surf Craigslist, these forums, and dream of detecting, but everything is so fragmented.

Winter is long. Too long.

Gah!

Spent some time on the floor of the shop taking the belly pan off my John Deere. Dirty, greasy, full of leaves, and all manner of goo.

This Spring will be a new awakening. Can't wait! Going to buy a new drysuit and dive at a place where we used to jump off as kids. It was the teen place to gather, and everyone went. At times it was like watching a scene from Dazed and Confused. No one knows about it now. It has slid backward into inconspicuousness by time. Treasures await!

Time for a burrito...

Some days, theys just too much traffic, huh? You should try having 9 cats, in your head!

That was a cool video. I especially liked that tune by Stereo MCs. That song sounds good cranked on a really decent audio system, especially after a couple drinks.
