I have an Ace 150 and I don't NEED pinpointing ;)!

In fact, i enjoy the challenge of finding something without having the aid of a pinpointer and it rarely takes me more than a minute or two to dig my target. Also, I usally use the TID, instead of reallying on the LCD too, it works much better for me.

I do think garrett should have just made one model though. Because they are both pratically the same machine. Or maybe they could have made a cheaper kids model, like bounty hunter does with their junior models, which are usaully under 100 bux.

If I can't recover my target in 30 seconds, I move on...(Just Kidding), but if I spend minutes recovering instead of seconds I would go insane! I use the pinpoint mode, then detune the target ( pressing it a second time while over the target in pinpoint mode) , and then use a Vibraprobe 560 to speed it up!

If it works for you, more power to you!
