Dug a first. Found a Admiral Vernon commemorative button maybe? See at the bottom of the button, got the wording "Porto Bello,. There was a battle call, Battle Porto Bello, between British and Panama Spanish Fleet 1739. Also dug some other flat buttons. 1700s homesite.

Porto Bello button

Fantastic find! Well done! I've been to Porto Bello in Panama. Really interesting place if you are into Spanish Colonial history.

While Admiral Vernon might have had some success in Porto Bello, he got whipped by the Cartaganeros in Cartagena. That is a very interesting story in itself: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Cartagena_de_Indias
