Now, if I was happy with the Part I hunt, you can bet I was friggin' estatic with today's hunt!

After all the tgts yesterday I knew right where I was going back to today. I went back and re-gridded most of what I had hit the day before, then moved down to where I had stopped due to fatigue and the bitter cold the day before (much better today, no wind!) and started a tight grid on that area as well. It started off pretty much the same as yesterday. Tons of copper, lead and SS stuff..and that SS.......I swear....I think I'm about 3 screws and a pulley away from building my own sailboat.....so much of that crap! lol Everything was still up high, as the day before but there was a bit more sand blown back in, not a lot,but it was noticeable. Same story as yesterday, gridding and prying exposed frozen coins off the beach, and one of the silver rings I found today was likewise stuck, frozen up high, saw it before the coil did.

First gold ring it as a solid 17. Figured more lead but what a nice surprise to see that pig of a ring in the scoop! 13.5 grams 10K class ring. I can see a name but don't know what school yet, more to follow on that one once I do some homework.

The next one was a tiny little thing. It was already broken which my ham-hands made worse and I lost a small piece of it. What was left weighed 0.7 grams, ice is real.

I had just dug a 10 on the EQX and realized it was my 3rd gold of the day and had only seen part of the gold sticking out of the sand when I looked up and saw Steve (Gigmaster) about 20ft away just coming onto the beach, I called him over and told him to have his camera ready.....he was the first to see it and then really shocked me when he said it was a diamond ring! I thought it was another small band....lol Ring is 14K 1.7 grams and the 0.25 carat diamond tests real!

Rounded out the day with a couple of silver rings, a silver earring and some other odds and ends. One thing that I am wondering about is the strange celtic (or something) cross. It was pretty crusty when I first dug it, thought it was some scrap but its designed on both sides and appears to be made of bronze/copper. Anyone ever seen one like it? Kinda cool and interesting looking....sound off if you have seen one like it!

Overall a GREAT two day hunt! I'll likely give it another go again but word is on the street now....lol....I expect a stampede out there tomorrow, probably won't be room to swing a coil! But what the hell....share the wealth, I hope others can find some too!

Steve just posted his video where he came up on me digging the diamond ring...
