Rain forecast for tomorrow so I decided to head out right after work today. Zipped over to my favorite local spot; an old farm that I have permission for. Decided to focus on a trashy/iron-laden area that is low and sandy. I wanted to see what the E-trac could do in such conditions. Well, it paid off because suddenly it sounded off with a nice clear high tone. I did not recognize the target ID but with such high numbers I decided to dig. Saw a silver disc laying in the dirt after digging so I decided to take an in-situ pic. 1952 Franklin half - my first big silver! Also scored an unusual "platinoid finish" button/cuff. Even eyeballed a neat Indian artifact. A great hunt!
