Has anyone ever checked for halves at the airport currency exchange booth?

I tried to turn in some of my non-us coins in and they did not except coins

I am a foreign coin collector, so I asked for foreign coins at an exchange booth, and they told me they don't accept coins also. However, my friend got a 2 pounds coin from the UK in the Atlanta airport.

Foreign coins are apparently too troublesome for banks and currency exchanges to have so they only deal with paper.

kind of unrelated, but i was searching the internet, I found this quite interesting. A place that BUYS foreign coins for their exchange value, and the prices seem decant too, as to the fact that they have to make a profit on you as well.
