There is a fire hazard when not charging properly.. And few that caught fire after being damaged on impact.. I fast charge mine in a crockpot...No aa size but a 3 cell is 11.1 volts and can be had in many different sizes and mahs.. Shouldn't be to expensive because a detector has a low amp draw...
