Fall In! Well, it all started this afternoon. I had some free time so I went to look around a local park, since it was starting to get a bit warmer. I was walking around the climbers, when, I noticed something under the slide. It was a few of our men pinned down, no where to go. There were some axis dogs circling, but when I got to them it was too late. I eyeballed a few soldiers, ehm, pieces of soldiers today and when I saw ModernMiner's post, I just had to see some of the soldiers many of our members have dug up, or just found laying around. There can be anything, kinda like the TNet car show, but this time with something different. There can be anything, lead soldiers, plastic, wounded, old wars, pieces of soldiers, or any lead figurines that seem very cool. It doesn't matter whter the paint is gone or just the feet, but I would absoloutely LOVE to see what types of heroes you have dug up! I'll start it off with the "K.I.A or wounded soldiers" that I found today. I know TNet has many actual soldiers that have served, or are serving, and this is in NO WAY trying to offend you, just to see a few toys from the past, and to see back into past childhoods. Have fun with this, and please, lets see your soldiers! ;D

Well, If I was in the states I'd post the few lead soldiers I've found. All 3 of them are WW1 or pre-WW2. They are wearing the M-1917 ""Doughboy" (British Style) helmet that US troops wore until early 1942. One machine gunner and two riflemen.

But I can't wait to see what everyone else posts!

OK ! Here's mine! I added my 4Th inf. war of 1812 button and an elongated cent of the Arizona Memorial, in keeping with the situation. I have found many things over the years (except a kitchen sink), but I did find a horses a$$, as you can see.

Most of my hero's have damage, but 2 seem to be fine. Looks like everything from WW1-2. One may be CW officer?

Hope to see more!

OOps!! Here ya go!

The Minstrel Boy to the war is gone
In the ranks of death you will find him;
His father's sword he hath girded on,
And his wild harp slung behind him;
"Land of Song!" said the warrior bard,
"Tho' all the world betrays thee,
One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard,
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"

The Minstrel fell! But the foeman's chain
Could not bring that proud soul under;
The harp he lov'd ne'er spoke again,
For he tore its chords asunder;
And said "No chains shall sully thee,
Thou soul of love and brav'ry!
Thy songs were made for the pure and free,
They shall never sound in slavery!"

The Minstrel Boy will return we pray
When we hear the news, we all will cheer it,
The minstrel boy will return one day,
Torn perhaps in body, not in spirit.
Then may he play on his harp in peace,
In a world such as Heaven intended,
For all the bitterness of man must cease,
And ev'ry battle must be ended.
