Just got to my hometown of Nantucket to visit my parents for the next few weeks and it’s been a good start..my buddy and I got out on my first night and each scored a point! My first quartz point in the town of my birth no less! He scored a beautiful little heartbreaker that Ive only got an in situ. Also found a a stone that may have been either a net weight, a hammer or just a rock. Input is always appreciated.

Nice finds!

My husband is from The Cape. Never knew there were points around - duh, I should have(!). I guess I'll be more agreeable to visiting my in-laws. Do you look the beaches, coves, inlets? Man, that water is cold up there! We visit the mid-cape.

Have a great trip!

Awesome start! I have to imagine finds have to be tough to come by there given the years of European activities there.

I’ll be in Boston this week visiting universities with my daughter.

I think the competition can be intense with it being a small place but there are still lots of pieces showing up. Lots of storms turn over the gravel at the beaches and erode old dunes. I always think about how much stuff must have been left around by 10,000 years of humans.

I thought maul but net weights have been pulled out of this area too. Either way my friend said he was going to grab it if I didn’t take it. Good enough for me!
