Hi all, well I'd have to say yesterday was one of my finest
days water hunting this year! To start the day off right, as soon
as I got in the water I found a Indian head penny, next came a V nickel,
then another V nickel and all together I found 3 V nickels (can only read
one date 1906), two buffalo nickels (can't read either date),
a Indian Hear penny (can't read date), a Wheat penny (1916)
and a Mercury Dime(1925).
Got out of the water at this site and moved over to a swimming site.
Here I found about 3 dollars in clad coins, one cheap bracelet, a couple
of shotgun shells and 4 rings. Two of the rings were good. One was a
Sterling Silver Mans ring and the other was a 14K Jesus ladies ring.
Needless to say after I got out of the water, I went and bought a lottery
ticket. LOL
The pictures explain everything on why I couldn't read most of the dates.
Water and sand do a lot of harm to old coins in a lake over 100 yrs.
