I really like the white one in the first row. Nice!

Well I looked it up and its called a Montgomery Its Woodland period. I like it to, it was in my footprint on my way back. I always walk back the same way in the creek. Ive found many that way. They are just under the surface of the creek slime.

Nice finds. You've had some good success lately. How do you spot them under the creek slime? I have no luck in my creek slime areas.

Ive found 2 like that this week. When you look down the rocks are usually covered like a thick dusting of brown in my creek. Look for the outline as in shape. Then either reach down or flip it with your stick. One was in my track from when I went up stream. Your foot disturbs the mud and the current removes the mud leaving a clean foot print. The point was laying in the foot print clean and it being white quartz it stood out. The large black flint oval scraper was harder to spot. It was laying in about 8 inches of water flat on the bottom. I stared at it for at least a min due to all of the rocks are black from stain. It got my attention for some reason and then I flipped it and saw it was thin. I reached down and was surprised it was a tool and not just another rock. Cant tell you exactly why but it has happened many times this year. Its a much bigger thrill than finding them in a field for me. Here is the tool that was black. Its one big flake with edge work. The other side has the bulb of percussion and is flat. Hope this helps, rock

Holy smokes! Just finding 1 of those in a hunt is a day well spent! You got at least 12 days of work done there! Now kick back, relax & give us a chance. :) I'm particularly jealous of that white one too. Congrats.

Love them! I need to brave the snakes and get back out to my creek, hope I can find just one like those!

Didn't see any snakes just turtles. That's always a good day
