I know I need to find something else to take a picture of but, the moon is the only thing that will hold still long enough for me to take a shot. I have tried getting birds at the feeder but mostly just get the feeder with an occasional tail or blur of the bird leaving. My wife bought some bananas today, maybe I will try shooting them!

Nikon P900. It is called a point and shoot camera but has an 83X optical zoom. That is the same as a 2000mm telephoto lens. The camera even has a dedicated setting just for moon pictures. I did purchase a good tripod as it is impossible to get a steady shot at full zoom. Even with the tripod and using the self timer there is still a little blur to the pictures when you enlarge them. I may try a remote shutter release.

My 2-year-old grandaughter has just noticed the moon, or "the moons" as she calls it. She is fascinated with looking for it and will notice it long before it is dark enough to shine. I'll have to show her these pictures. They are amazing!

You don't even want to see my pic of the moon. It looks like...well nothing you would recognize as the moon lol! Your pics are fantastic!
