Today was an "official" visit to one of the clad factories.

2016 (287).jpg

It didn't disappoint. :)

2016 (288).jpg

I could be wrong.
But, I'm pretty sure ones like this are
new drops of an old coin. '46

2016 (289).jpg

Fishy appears to be homesick.

2016 (290).jpg

Choices! Choices! ;)

I figure the one on the left is aluminum.
The one on the right "might" be silver...maybe plated,,,only marked with a 16.

2016 (291).jpg

This one is kind of strange. It was really deep! It's not marked.
But, it appears to be old silver with a strange "stone". It was next to
some iron so it has a bit of the iron blight stains. I'll know more
after I do some cleaning.

Anyhoo, a pretty nice day at the clad factory, even if I do say so my own self. ;)
Just wish some of those pennies could've been silver dimes!

Thanks for peeking!

Whadi, all you need now are the elephants and clowns. Your three ring circus rocked the day! My layman's take on the rings. Yes, you found another "alumi-ring." Your old, plated fancy ring may have jade stones with black inclusions. The "Forever" ring is a factory produced, modern one and should be marked .925 if it was in fact solid silver. None the less, congrats on way-upping your ring count! I must get out of the doldrums now and get something on the board for you to peruse...Sub 8-)

Thanks Sub!

That's the funny thing about the one with the possible jade stone. It just doesn't look to me like it's plated. I haven't gotten around to cleaning it yet. We'll see.

Hope you did good! :)
