Mega results from a mini hunt.....

2 hour hunt before work. Rained last evening and this may have helped signals. Most of these targets were 10 or more inches down. I just hit an 'old' spot and followed the faint signals: LC - 1827, silver 3-cent - 1853, flat buttons and lead seal, thimble with thread pieces, heart charm and lead dog face from child's toy.

Thanks J.Cache. I took the thimble to be a good sign. The LC was my second target dug. I think the first target was a bottle cap.

Awesome digs McCDig. :occasion14: I love to hunt when the ground is soaked. You may have not pulled much, but man you sure pulled some quality finds. Love the LC and the Trime still evades my coil. Seeing so many trimes posted this past month I am certain there is one out there with my name on it.

I'll bet that 2 hr. hunt was a better "trime" than you had at work !! Great finds.

Just a great, well rounded hunt there. Some sweet material archeology!

I always like finding LC's, but the trime is pretty cool. They don't come up much as they didn't make them for a long time, they didn't circulate much and they're small and usually deep. Nice finds.

Thanks L-D, It was truly a hunt from the past. Looks like Friday or the weekend here will be prime hunting time. Rain's coming tomorrow.

Thanks Joee5. I think the Large Cent is my favorite....don't find many of those. The one other I found at this park was so terribly toasted it''s half the thickness of the one I found yesterday.

Thank you, Z.K. We can't go as deep as the archeologist, but it's amazing what small objects the detector sees, even down to 10 inches.

Thanks bearbqd. With your own Civil War finds, I suspect you will come across a trime in time.

Thanks ATW. Pretty sure our Club members have pulled 4 of these, altogether, from this park is 2015. I'm new to this place, but I there are more to be had.
